Week 8

A month and a half on the road and something weird is happening.

No, apart from that.

Or that.

That’s not weird, that’s frightening.

No, I meant there’s something weird happening with the guys:

Marcus has been living off smoked salmon and rice cakes for the last three days…

Gareth swaps KFC meals for salad and grilled mackerel, now…

Yesterday, Josh joined Athlean-X…

Even Mark has just told me he had chicken and wholemeal crackers, for lunch.

And, to top it all off, they all went on a gym trip together this afternoon.

I don’t know whether I should feel like that’s partly my fault.

Right now, as I look at myself in the mirror, like I always do when I write this blog, or do anything else, I can’t help but whisper to myself:

‘You’ve robbed those kids of their childhood.’

But, as my massive nose never fails to remind me, everyone is responsible for their own actions. AND THOSE BOYS ARE DOIN’ IT FOR THEMSELVES.

I do feel quite proud, though. Come Berlin in March, we’ll be the healthiest tenors the Capital has ever seen

In other news, here's our autographs in the same guestbook as Jose Carreras'...

And here's our show in the same brochure as EELST.

(Luca & Giulio, this one's specifically for you, of course)

AAAAAND, on New Year’s Eve, we sang in front of 2000 people, at the Big Box Allgau in Kempten.

That was… remarkable. There was even a huge gap between the proscenium and the front row, which, during the Rock Medley, became a veritable mosh pit and kinda made me feel like a rockstar. Never mind that in that song I'm on backing vocals with harmonies no higher than the middle C…..

In that moment, in my own head, I was a rockstar.

Now back to dressing like a street urchin, carrying bags-for-life from one hotel to the other.

.

LET'S TAKE IT TO THE NEXT LEVEL!
